Not counting Cap d'Agde....and other nudist beaches where hundreds to thousands were in attendance....and a few "lifestyle conventions" where 1000+ were present for anywhere from a long three day weekend to nearly two full weeks....probably the biggest groups "under a roof" were at "lifestyle" parties that were held for a weekend plus at hotels. Usually the top 2, 3, or 4 floors were reserved for "participants"...but a few times the entire 7-8-9 story hotel was leased. And everyone who checked in...or came and went over the weekend (thousands of those) were in the "lifestyle". Once upon a time I was invited to attend several of those...quite a few times over several years. The "organizers" always set me up with a suite at the end of one the top floors hallway. The suite was not to be luxurious to me...but to have the room to allow a lot of "lifestyle" partiers to crowd in...the furniture moved to the walls...and I would sit in a chair with a painters plastic sheet spread out in front of me. Several times a day and night I would "put on shows"....get erect...with help from one or two women I would see and ask if they would "help" me...and then the crowd would see me full size and eventually I would orgasm for the crowd...the plastic sheeting was placed down so has not to soil the carpet...my "discharge" is always a LOT of very thick long ropes that travel a long way...hence the plastic sheeting. I put on the "shows" for free...but was often told I could "charge"...it was interesting to me to see the reactions of the many faces in the crowds. Invariably...it seemed that always the other biggest endowed guys at the parties...they and their wives/girlfriends/lovers would always show up to watch too.
Not counting Cap d'Agde, France...
Lest you think BigBen is simply an accomplished creative writer, here is a blast form the past courtesy of the OC Weekly, an alternative newspaper which printed articles a more puritanical mainstream paper like the Orange County Register would dare not cover. (See below)
In the interests of full disclosure, I'm fairly certain I was at the particular lifestyle party written-up in the story. It was held on a wet winter weekend sometime in early to mid-February 2008. And as luck would have it, Southern California was in the midst of a moderate El Nino rainy season. However the party wasn't held in a desolate, remote area in the city of Orange but in a well-lit industrial area off busy Katella Avenue, almost within site of Anaheim Stadium, home of the Angels.
I vividly recall meeting this woman and her escort for the evening. They were both standing off to the side of the main room, close to the bar. She was clutching a plastic cup containing some alcoholic drink while he was a quiet, nervous, late twenty-something who looked as-if being intimate with a female wasn't something he was all that familiar with. She announced that she was a journalist who was going to write a grand expose on the lifestyles of the affluent and kinky, in the same county where ultra-conservative Republican Tricky-Dick Nixon had his presidential library. I vaguely recall we both exchanged the fact we were coincidentally both writers, though I told her my career was as an airline pilot. In the third paragraph of her story, where she ticks-off the various occupations of club members,
pilot is listed second behind teachers. I'm impressed that she wrote such a literate article because she never ventured anywhere near the "play rooms."
The name Robert McGinley is prominent in her article. It's not an understatement to say he is the godfather of the swing movement, at least in Southern California. He is still alive at age 86 and his company, Lifestyles Tour & Travel, is still in business on W. La Palma Ave. not far from Knott's Berry Farm. Over the years his Club Wide World has put-on mega lifestyle parties in various cities like Las Vegas or San Diego, some that occupied entire floors of hotels. BigBen is being accurate in his account.
Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic has put a temporary hold on any such large scale group activities.
