Open minded straight guy

My straight, married therapist seems open minded about homosexuality. I even sense that he has a curiosity about the sexual dimension. Despite being confident that he would never touch a man in that way I do wonder if he has ever had same sex fantasies or homoerotic desires that although pleasurable do not cross a threshold where he would act on them.

Do you think that some straight guys are happily married but occasionally can secretly masturbate to same sex fantasies and never need to disclose it in their lifetime. I sometimes wonder if he has masturbated after hearing me discuss a sexual encounter during a session but is overall content living a straight life.

Maybe I'm wrong in those assumptions but I do think many straight laced married guys love their wives and girlfriends but can have a crafty jerk off to fantasies of guys they like.

I would not take to much from your therapist's sexual interests. Why? He'd heard them all. Don't forget he has other patients that are straight, gay, and maybe even unsure. Married men dealing with their sexual issues.

Now the issue of marrieds and same sex is VERY common. Some just enjoy it in porn (and masturbate). Some act it out IRL. Married or not... Good or bad. I do think since the online world came to be, it's much more out in the open. Just look thru the threads here!

I agree. I believe that there are straight guys who only desire women. However there are many, many, many guys who, when younger, desired both men and women and as a means of conforming pursued or opted for a committed relationship with a woman. Now that they can access porn and speak to other guys online it has become more normalized and less shameful.
The guys that are 100% straight and desire only women are rightly confused when gay men challenge aspects of the straight man's desire. I understand that as they are only sexually attracted to women. However gay men have met so many straight guys that desire males sexually that they question who is bona fide straight. I am sure my therapist prefers women if push comes to shove but also has private desires for a man too. This is not a fantasy but a credible hunch. I'll be accused of all sorts but I feel something from him as we discuss same sex attraction.
