The point of that post was not really about trying to shame someone into being “proudly ‘queer”. Queer dynamics and/or a queer past don’t just go away because you’ve decided to be religious or indulge a hetero commitment or even experience degrees of fluidity. Just like hetero dimensions or past hetero relationships or internalized phobias or all the homophobia and/or gay panic you might have indulged don’t just go away because you’re now “proudly out”.

Reconciling your decisions and traumas and dimensions and lifestyle and wherever you are in the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum- there needs to be more options than being religious or being unabashedly, “proudly” queer. If you have a lot of struggles and insecurities neither path will likely lead to long-term self-comfort and confidence and not constantly looking towards others for validation. The point of the post is that we need more legitimately honest, open, nuanced, non-defensive conversations instead of most things being about sex or identity or lifestyles, and clearly many people still need to fully educate themselves on a lot of topics.
I get what you're saying, trust me. But if he, or anyone else, feels like they'll be happier outside of the lifestyle for whatever reason, I can only support them. Now as far as what remains in their heads and hearts, that's between them and the God they serve.

I’m talking about psychology and mental health and sociology and the limits of both religion and with the “queer pride” movement. If someone is hyping up “coming out” and selling porn at one point and then are hyping up Jesus and religion and hetero-normalcy just a year later, their issues likely go beyond something that religion alone can be a long-term salve to. While if we’re being real with ourselves, at least half of these guys who go from “proudly out” to hyper religious and somewhat homophobic/anti-gay still indulge queerness, whether it’s with other closeted religious guys or with pornography or fantasy. There is also lot of preying on and exploitating of weak-minded, damaged individuals when it comes to religious communities. A lot of religious communities that attach to people in the entertainment industry in particular often move like cults than anything else. While abuse and manipulation and closeted behaviors are rampant in many religious communities in general. Let’s also not pretend like many of these dudes don’t start to push anti-gay/queer-phobic agendas.

Religion can give a disfunctional, mentally frought person some sense of comfort or purpose. But it’s almost never going to get rid of any struggles or resolve their issues and their insecurities. I don’t care who is or isn’t religious or who wants to be a part of the “queer community”. I feel the same way about dudes who come from religious backgrounds and are suddenly “proudly out”, hyper-sexual and quickly develop a hyper-queer image. Genuine self-comfort and self-understanding and mental health rarely comes from the extreme end of anything. So, my point really has nothing to do with whether someone goes down the “religious route” or not. It’s about the trappings and limitations of both religion and the “proudly out” world.

People can be “proudly-out” or “hyper queer” and still feel a tug from God and become a follower of Christ.. I think it’s really difficult to be gay and also be “religious” (or I prefer spiritual), especially in THIS crazy world we live in. Everyone sins, everyone has dark thoughts and are directed by their flesh. Everyone falls short and NO ONE is perfect. Let the guy have his journey with God. We were more than happy to watch his journey through the many cocks and holes he’s dug through the last 2 years. But we/no one should comment if he goes back and forth from porn or religion because everyone has that inner fight it just may not always be between porn and the latter. OnlyFans has become an incredible money making machine, however at what expense? Most people don’t want to do porn for the rest of their lives. Maybe also as a once would-be model not getting jobs, something like OnlyFans seemed like an easier Segway than going to a corporate 9-5?

Either way I think we should solely speak on his porn side and not the religious/spiritual side.. on this site at least.

(side note for johnJohnston; not all churches and religious organizations are full of abuse and manipulation! Refer to my comment above: everyone sins, everyone falls short..that includes the preacher, priest, nun, rabbi, choir conductor…everyone! So no one and nothing is perfect!)

So he’s still on onlyfans?
Yeah. Looks like he checked it a few days ago but he purged a lot and it’s down to like a hand full or more posts. His bio basically states that his content will be exclusive workout vids and personal life posts. I doubt any XXX material.

This is such an odd thing to say
No, it's a very true thing to say. How do you explain straight men having more followers than the average queer/gay man on OF? Gay men are literally having to collab with straight men just to stay afloat. Is not the most popular men on this forum straight? Y'all really about to sit here and pretend like a large number of gay men aren't straight obsessed. Don't do it.

Yeah, you do have a point. For the average str8 Instagram model who starts an OF very little is expected. Just teasing that there may be more explicit content "coming soon" is enough to send the fan base crazy. Thousand of likes, outrageous tips. Some gay men will hang on for MONTHS just hoping to see more. If an openly gay instagram model isn't sticking a baseball bat up his ass by day 3 of his OF he gets dragged through the mud,lol

I personally think it is a lot less to do with gay v. Str8 than it does quality v. quantity....Given straight Insta types have been growing in popularity since lockdown hahahaha on OF....I really think it's the desire for that taboo or the long lusted for str8 guy v. The dime a dozen gay guys ...that and how some str8 guys do tease out bc it's what their competition do v. Gay guys going baseball route bc their competition has... Marvin's problem imo wasn't breaking that fantasy of being str8 or even masculine but just putting out mediocre scenes....like he never fully embraced it/ made bad editing choices....we all know we are some judgemental queens.... hahaha
