Does networking to bartend for wealthy gays really work? How so?

Years ago when I lived in a bigger house and was flush with cash, I had a big party with three bartenders who I hired off of Craigslist. (Back when Craigslist still had personal ads.) The main bartender wore skimpy bikini-style underwear and tennis shoes. The upstairs bartender wore a g-string and nothing else, not even shoes and socks. The bartender in the basement was fully nude, head to toe, and was so excited about it that he had a massive erection the entire time. (I also had five go-go boys who started off in jockstraps and g-strings and ended up stark naked.)

Wish I had the money and place to have parties like that again.

Must have been a really wealthy area in the 1980s. Most of my gigs now are $50 to $100 for life modeling. University’s in smaller city’s average around $15 to $40 per hour. I’ve done a few $200-ish per hour range for drawing groups (non-university) but it involved a level of erotica or invasive type modeling. Since Covid I’ve done some online life modeling groups which can pay a lot more depending on the number of people attending and the site.
What non-university drawing group did you pose for that paid $200? And how do you find online groups in general? I've tried different google searches and come up with next to nothing.

Well it was years ago but I had a gig with a caterer who had a bunch of gay customers. He would farm me out to parties where he knew a skimpy outfit would be well-received. I worked for one couple, through him and then directly, on and off for a few years, serving at parties, hefting stuff they couldn't easily carry, etc. They even paid me to join them on a weekend away for some kind of antique show they were doing. Nothing sexual was expected beyond watching and limited touching now and then.
How'd you meet the caterer? Was he also a photographer you worked with?

I am also a photographer on Model Mayhem. My profile is www.modelmayhem.com/715050

I would gladly photograph you/others or even do a life/body cast.
I'm way too old to model, lol, but I was just wondering about how the whole porn and adult modeling industry has changed in the last 10 years.

Is modelmayhem still a viable business model these days with all the self produced stuff on onlyfans, pornhub, reddit, etc., especially with such advanced of even phone cameras like the latest iPhone?

Where does the money come from to fund photographers and more professional shoots these days, with all the low cost competition from tube and onlyfans type sites?

I model once every few months, mostly nude/erotic stuff, but don't how I should go about networking for a private party. Is this something I should openly state I am open to doing? I am also a bartender, if it matters.
yeah I think you would have to word it carefully and place the ad in a more, erm, mature publication. On Craigslist "comfortable with nudity" etc. Drink and Draws are popular RN but if it's in a bar that's also open to the public at the time, they may not let it go too far.

There are also agencies that book entertainment... dancers and whatnot; might be worth reaching out to.

I'm trying to remember LOL this was a long time ago. I did some work in bars at that time and we might have been introduced. Word gets around...

Word of mouth for me. I was doing paint n sip parties and one of the organizers passed my contact on to a caterer. Did a bunch of parties over a season.
I just noticed a guy named "Slutatoritian" responded. Hilarious and brilliant!

How long ago did you do it? I did it back in the late 80's... The art classes in Chicago's wealthy suburbs paid very well. I would make $200 per hour for a fully nude pose.
I did it for a few years. (Early 1970s) I was always nude for life study art classes, though not always a standing pose. I did a lot of pseudo- "Thinker" poses, too, which were easier to hold. Later, I actually got a part-time job more in line with my major (it paid ok, too), and that led to my first full-time job when I graduated.

I wonder if Rippedspeedo ending up working with Worldwide Roar. Does anyone have any news of him?
It looks like he hasn’t been on for a while.

I so badly want to see pictures of him. He kind of deserves his own thread here.

I may have already responded to this, but I'm too lazy to go back and check. I seriously considered doing it for the money in college... I'm glad my good sense got the better of me and I declined.
( I almost did a drug "trial" for the money as well and only with great self-persuasion did I decide that $400, even in the early 80's, wasn't worth the risk of putting an unknown drug into me!)
