Autobiography, biography, cookbooks, gardening and adventure books are my usual go to. I do not like fiction based on history, I guess it is Historical Fiction (ie James Mitchner)
Current read - a lengthy bio on Napoleon but with a different slant to it. Napoleon a life in gardens and shadows by Ruth Scurr.

Although I prefer the old fashioned paper book in my hands, I have recently started downloading ebooks. I did not like Kindle because it was only black and white so bought a $69 Samsun Tab A 8.7. Love it. Made me want to read more. Reading about 3 books a month.

Library Genesis is still up but since July does not seem to be updating or adding. It was especially good for magazine’s & periodicals

Another free website that was in the news because being shut down last year is back up With millions of books to read or download.

Many libraries have a ebook service if you have a library card.

support you local library - they need your donation.

The thing is digital is not just necessarily the way of the future but is also environmentally smart.. saves trees

Anyone read gay themed books? Have any looking for but can’t find?

Any good stories /books ?
A Scarecrow's Bible by Martin Hyatt is pretty good. I read it three times and used it when writing a college paper.

I've always read Gay or LGBT+ authors themselves, whether they have direct gay themed books or not ( and many of them do), as it gives a below the surface glimpse into their minds and lives often.

I've just finished a wonderful book that really moved me. It's called "Indivisible" by Daniel Aleman. The main character is a US born Mexican teenager dealing with prep for the SATs, and his part time job, and discovering his sexuality. He comes home one day to find his parents have been seized by Immigration, He then must deal with taking care of himself and his little sister while maintaining a front that everything is okay.

I'm about to start "The Carnivorous Lamb" by Agustin Gomez-Arcos. It's considered a gay classic from Spain about a teen in a dysfunctional family who finds the only person who cares for him is his brother.

I'm familiar with most of these titles; some I've read. But a few I've not heard of and have added to my "To Read" shelf. Here's ten gay themed fictional works I enjoyed a lot.

Alec by William Di Canzio
The Brothers Bishop by Bart Yates
The Coming Storm by Paul Russell
The House of Impossible Beauties by Joseph Cassara
In Memoriam by Alice Winn
Like People in History by Felice Picano
The Lost Language of Cranes by David Leavitt
In September the Light Changes by Andrew Holleran
A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood
The World of Normal Boys by K.M. Soehnlein
