What did you like about Canyon Ranch? I found it to be one of the smallest and worst I’ve been to on the strip.

Smallest? I’m pretty sure if you include all areas, it’s technically like the largest spa in the world. They have 134k sq feet. Almost triple qua. However, I’m assuming you’re talking the wet area? I’d call it medium sized. I’ve just found similar younger, athletic guys there and good massage therapists. I’m not looking for a bathhouse environment. Same with Cosmo. It’s a young, athletic crowd. Cosmo has much larger hot tub, but overall, smaller than canyon ranch.
I’m planning on checking out some new ones my next trip. Maybe some off strip ones like green valley and south point. Anyone ever got massage with Austin at Green Valley or want to test him out for me? Maybe a local? PM me.
I must have missed most of Canyon Ranch then. The men’s wet area was directly surrounded by the four small rooms (steam room, cold room, sauna, and aroma room). Was there another section outside somewhere?

Canyon Ranch does have a bizarre and not very pleasant or relaxing layout. It feels like they had a few odd-shaped spaces that they tried to make work. Adding to that, the steam room is currently closed (I think they’re re-tiling?). The tiny whirlpool is just slightly larger than MB’s cold plunge, and the wide sauna is completely glassed in on its front/entrance, so everyone is on display. Only the aroma room affords any amount of privacy, but it’s at the corner of the back section.
Tuesday was a bust (a small handful of men, mostly in shorts) with one major exception: a magnificently hunky black man who made no effort to hide his goods, opening his beefy thighs in the sauna and discreetly touching his thick cock and fondling his big balls. When he noticed me looking, he followed me to the aroma room where we had to wait for a shorts guy to leave, and then we got down to business. Spa at Encore Wednesday, 2/28. Short (pun intended) and sweet: this was like a swimsuit convention. The few guys who went nude stayed mostly covered in the steam and sauna, out of propriety I guess. Any interest between two (or, as was the case, four) was summarily interrupted by a parade of groups of guys in swimsuits traveling together. They also talked loudly when in the whirlpools, largely about, you guessed it, money. Encore is one of my favorite spas, so relaxing and on point when it’s peaceful and there are guys there to enjoy the amenities and, sometimes but not all the time, each other. You know it’s bad when there’s more “action” at Canyon Ranch!
Anyone been to the men’s area at Fountainbleu or Resorts World? Are they worth it or are these spas focused mainly on the co-ed spaces in terms of size/amenities?
I haven’t had a massage at Green Valley but I have been to the spa. Great layout and a private pool outdoors as well although I don’t know if it’s open for the season.
Anyone heard of or experienced this new Adonis men’s health spa? Seems like a new bathhouse/spa? o-toon in addition to Kuma and Entourage. Pictures on the website look nice, but not sure anyone knows it’s there, although close to UNLV so that might be good..

I have been to the Resorts World spa. I went with a girl specifically because it was coed, and has the largest coed facility on the strip apparently. A few different wet areas and a sauna, again, all coed. There was a separate sauna I think in the mens area that was only for men of course. The spa is known for its huge co ed facility that they call "the fountain of youth". So I think cruising action will be very limited. I did wear my absolute smallest unlined speedo there which was fun to show off in! Maybe next time I will wear a thong

Hey guys! So I’m 4 weeks away from my trip to Vegas. Staying at Encore and originally planned to visit both Encore Spa on Sunday and Qua on Monday… but reading your reviews, I feel it might be better to just skip Encore Spa? Especially if Qua turns out to be a lot of fun.

I’d still check out Encore if I were you. May be more shorts but there usually are a handful of nudes cycling in throughout the day. It’s more of a chill experience. Qua on the other hand is basically a gay bathhouse at this point. A couple times I’ve been, it’s almost been too cruisy with a lot of older/heavier guys pretty aggressively cruising and following which gets annoying. It can also get pretty packed.
The more I think about the fact that all MGM properties in Vegas limit their spa access to hotel guests (or booked service), the more I’m dumbfounded by this logic. For a corporation that already charges fees for everything you do at this point, what would be their logic to turn away those willing to pay for a day pass? Most of their spas are almost empty midweek as it is and why would a mega company want to limit business?

Encore was pretty much a bust for me the two days last week that I went, though there was a hot hunky Chinese dad who stroked and came with me in the steam once. The problem there is that every time you get alone with like-minded men some swimsuit buzzkill comes in. There were also some groups of childish guys who were way too loud, like they were at a public pool, many of whom blatantly ignored the no cellphone rule.
I agree about MGM not allowing non-guest day passes. It’s rather ridiculous, and counterintuitive to successful business models.
