He's just aging. Very lean people tend to look older and age a bit faster. He's never had very rounded, soft facial features anyway so his face thinning out a bit is what I think you are seeing. All that California sun doesn't help anything either. I feel like if he did get fillers it would be quite obvious.

Looking at those side by side pictures I see no "little filler" but whatever makes you sleep at night.
