They did say why, and it was 3+ years ago.
But, many at the time were saying the facade they'd put up was starting to fade, their content was stale, and former friends were calling them out for unkind behavior.
As I've said before in this thread, the entire premise behind their content was they they're hot and there's two of them. But that will only get you so far. In the end they didn't feel they could go any further so they stopped. Think of them as a TV show that ran its course.

Everything has a shelf life, the problem with the twins is that they didnt know how to pivot their channel in a new direction so their content got stale and people started unsubscribing.
They should take a page from Logan Paul and how he pivoted from vlogs to podcast to fighting and now to selling beverages. Logan is a master in reinventing himself, like him or not.
