I think he just fell for the illusion of being this big Hollywood star, but it didn't happen. Hollywood is competitive as hell with young men that are equally attractive. If you are already suffering from mental illness that can make things much worse.
He did mention that voicing cloud in FFVII Remake series had a positive impact on his life. I'm glad it did because life can really suck and is mostly based on luck and timing on how far you get ahead in this world, especially in Hollywood. I think we can all reach that point in our life. I hope he's in a right place now. I like Cody and wish him well.
