Hello LPSG Chat Users!

We have a new build of the chat tool ready for you to check out. We took some of the feedback from the last few live dates, and made some fixes. Most notably, are the following improvements:
  • Streaming to the chat room your are in (including the Main room). This also opens the door to private 1-on-1 video chatting. :)
  • Bringing the cam controls to the top of the screen for mobile and small screens.
  • Alerts badges for private chats so that you know when you are getting new private messages.

Some of the basics:

Rooms:

There are currently 4 rooms:
  • Main Chat.
  • Gay Cam Chat.
  • Straight Cam Chat.
  • Bi Cam Chat.
Your can stream your camera to any room you are in, as well as watch the cam feeds from any member who has their camera on.

Private Video Chats.
Members can start a private video chat from a private text chat. They can simply begin streaming from a private chat room. Or stope and stop their camera to switch feeds to a private chat room. The private chat room status will be shown in your own window when you do this.

Scroll down or click here for the desktop user guide.

Scroll down or click here for the mobile user guide.

The chat can be accessed here.

https://www.lpsg.com/chat

Please provide constructive feedback here. :)

I just checked out the new version of the chat tool, and I have to say that the improvements are fantastic! The ability to stream the chat room you are in is a big deal. I also liked the cool alert icons for private chats. It's such a small thing, but knowing that you have new messages is much better. I am currently using jolly jerk safe, and I really like it as it allows me to have fun after a hard day at work. However, I don't mind experiencing new emotions and meeting new people, so I can't wait to try something new.

Any way to reset private chat? Still can't reconnect with someone who I chatted to weeks ago? 'You already have a private chat with this person' (how do I access it again then?)

It would be nice to be able to open more cams at the same time and not having them block the view of the chat and the online list. Also - it would definitely be hot to know how many people are watching you at the moment.

Hey, I'm enjoying the beta chat - thanks for all your work on it!

Question: Once I have more than about 3 chat tabs open, I can't figure out how to switch between them. There's seemingly no way to click on tabs that are too far "to the right" and hidden under the user list column, if that makes any sense. Any advice?

Constructive feedback:

1) many lpsg users have equipment which is not compatible with the new chat. It works best with laptop or PC and an external cam. It does not work well with tablets and many phones. There is a particular problem with iPad and iPhone, including with recent models of both. While I‘m sure many users don’t have a problem (and can’t understand why anyone else has) there are very very many who do.

2) there are a lot of glitches with freezing cams and the like. There are features cammers need like knowing who is watching that are simply not available. PrIvate chats are not happening because there’s no adequate alert.

Very many users are continuing to use old chat. These are mostly users with equipment - including state of the art equipment - that just won’t work on new chat, or people who want to chat (talk, communicate). I think new chat has more users than old, but the split is maybe 60% new, 40% old. And that‘s with new chat as the landing ground. It’s not a huge move to a better new chat.

My thought is that new chat isn‘t right. I know old chat is problematic. But with new, lots of regulars are going to leave because it just isn’t functioning.

There has to be a third option. Whereby works - can lpsg buy into that platform?

Is there a trick to get someone's camera who is broadcasting to open when you click on it? All that I get is a little gray box that pops open and rarely opens their camera. Some eventually load, some never do. Is this a bandwidth on my or their end? Looking for suggestions or options to rectify the issue, thanks.

From what I’ve seen, it takes maybe 20 seconds for the gray box to switch over to the cam. Sometimes if it doesn’t open, try closing the gray box and then re open it.

From what we know, this is to do with connection speed. They will turn on if you leave them, but slower speeds take a bit longer to initialize.
