Basic queer-dar, lack of any public hetero relationships, being seen hanging out with a lot of out queer industry dudes at parties during and after his career made it apparent. Yet, he aggressively denied it in public forums a couple times. “Not knowing any player’s dimensions” doesn’t mean deluding yourself and ignoring all signs, stereotypes and common sense. But even if you can genuinely suss out a guy has “queerness” and there’s actual “evidence”, that still doesn’t mean you know their sexual dimensions, lifestyle, or place in the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum, and it doesn’t mean they should be forced “out”. So, after a while the “speculation” is stale. And we see a random post about if an ATP player is “gay” around every month.
