In the locker room scene, when he is swiping through Tinder, it pauses for a second on a male profile, before his character continues swiping and going through more female profiles.

There’s also a moment in the film during the hotel room scene, Zendaya’s character asks if anything happened between the two of them and Mike’s character is immediately dismissive. Josh’s character gives him some longing looks (which I interpreted as possible feelings?) but then he reveals that he thought Mike’s character how to masturbate.

he definitely is, there are so many shots where they try to emphasize the sexual tension between the boys, closeups of josh’s character touching mike’s leg, him eating a banana in front of him and making suggestive gestures, him saying to art something like “this turns me on more than anything else” (i don’t remember the exact phrase but).

The tinder scene is like the obvious way to show it.

Just came home from Challengers. Loved the movie! I suggest everyone go watch it as it's a genuinely exciting examination of male relationships. The camera's genuinely in love with Mike Faist as well. He's gorgeous in the film. Great performances all around as well!

Got to see Challengers tonight, and none of you should be disappointed if you find Faist or O'Connor attractive. Of course a frontal from either would've been nice, but I cannot emphasize just how horned up the film is despite there not being a single proper sex scene. The tennis matches are more arousing than most hardcore porn I've watched, and by design — Guadagnino is a master at erotic cinema. Currently thinking about a dozen different shots that made me need a cold shower.

I think that's still a big question mark. He does have an ex-girlfriend from this theatre days, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. He could be straight... he could be bi. Or he could be gay and just didn't know it yet back then. But it seems like he wants to keep his private life private, he eliminated all his social media when he started to move from theatre to film.
