I been listening to heavy metal for a long time … Black Sabbath … kiss back in the 70s that was considered hard rock heavy metal.. ac/dc

it was in 86 I heard this guys playing a tape in music class and I was like who the hell was that.. he says Metallica master of puppets .. I had went to store later that day.. they had one copy left .. I bought it. $7.99.. back then that was a lot to pay for a tape… took it out it in my cassette Walkman and listened to it until I got home and put it what we called a boombox ( stereo with little speakers ..

I played that album a lot

then bought other albums before that.. and bought every magazine that even mentioned Metallica on the front cover ..

CD’s were created and the first cd I bought was nirvanas never mind album.. .. slayer .. panthers … megadeth.. and other metal bands dominated my life .. the 80’sand early 90’ s were the best years of metal.. now it’s changed and not too many knew metal bands come out unless they sound like their ripping their vocal boxes out.. as my dad would say sounds like they been smoking 10 packs a smokes for 40 years …

bands like obituary and sepultura and death.. pestilence … Voivod we’re to name few bands from what they call death metal

Ah yes, that era.. everything rock and metal was as satanic as the occult.
Even on the news, which is pretty funny to watch today, mentioned it all the time haha :)

Those two genres alone produced some of the greatest musicians ever. But in a way I can understand them as well, considering several well-known names that were going on a rampage back then, people would make that silly connection between those two. Sure there were some musicians who were into the dark occult among sacrifices etc.

Anyway, I'm done rambling. It was probably an interesting era with the news and all that going bonkers about rock and metal :)

I remember, 'back in the day' that parents' groups went around denouncing KISS as 'Knights In the Service of Satan' and AC/DC as 'Anti-Christ Devil's Children'.

For fuck's sake!

I remember when Izzy left Black Sabbath and started his solo career.. he was in a meeting at a record studio and they pissed him off.. and he supposedly grabbed a bird and but it’s head off and tossed it on the desk ..

then when he went on tour it got around that at his concerts he was gonna to bite a baby’s head off .. even started a boycott on his tour when there was no facts showing he was going to do such a hideous thing ..

Only thing it did was made him sell out concert after concert because of such ignorant publicity

"Pick up and shake in the wind
Shed your resource, keep it down

THRASHED
THRASHED
THRASHED
THRASHED

Don't make it right
Don't move it in
Put in the mouth
And swallowed whole

SMASHED
SMASHED
SMASHED
SMASHED

It makes all the fuckin' sense to me and that's right

And you think that it could make all that sense to you, you know that?
LET IT RIDE

Cause there ain't no winning in this one right here

Try to facilitate
Whine in restoration
Blewn

Blow through the prime of life
Numb all the senses down
Project your fear of heights
Onto untraveled ground

Fry and halucinate
Pry and investigate

Blow through the prime of life
Numb all the senses down
Project your fear of heights
Onto untraveled ground

Pitfalls of grief
On all that displayed on the "ground out"
Prophetically speaking, the wilted unformulated" - The Alcoholik
