Does anyone know the name of the series or have the scenes of this Taiwanese show where one of the characters is gay and he hooks up with a gangster. It seems like it’s a new show but there were some sex scenes between him and some other guy then him and a gangster.

Technically yes, but it was still a very gay movie for a mainstream release. Lots of ass and dick, the camera constantly lingering on the main guys with their shirts off, oozing sweat, pointing their bare feet at the camera, the sauna scene, the licking bananas at each other, long talk about jerking off together, "I miss playing with you--" "--I'm too old for that". And, yeah, the long long tongue kiss that does not even remotely work as a joke, that in-story they had to have known was each other (and which didn't bother them anyway).

I went in not expecting any of that and I think a lot of the audience did too, thinking it would just be a romcom with Zendaya (who never gets naked and isn't ogled by the camera).

Well, what can we expect from Luca, the director who made CMBYN. I remember that in the novel, the two main guys did "the thing" but in the movie he erased it, and focus on explicit straight sex.

He is the definition of Gay-Baiter maker. Surprisingly he is gay, who never make a "real" gay movie.
Only movie that please straight audiences.

I wouldn’t say “lots of dick” - there’s one scene in a locker room with frontal nudity from a few background actors. There’s lots of sexual tension between the leads, but no dick.

I’m not going to defend Call Me By Your Name because I do agree that it’s a weirdly straight take on gay romance (although I blame the novelist for that, not the director), but as a gay man I thought the homoeroticism in Challengers really worked, and I wouldn’t call it gay-baiting. If you’re going in expecting a gay romance with explicit guy-on-guy sex then obviously that’s not what it is, but that’s also never what it’s advertised as being.

This was the best movie I’ve seen in at least six months.
