Hey, Avrup. Totally agree with you, most especially on your first point. Discontinued or lack of social media doesn't necessarily mean failure. In fact it could signal the very opposite!I mean, technically, he could be doing great as a trainer with a few wealthy clients there and just didn’t really have reason or ability to take off with a social media presence doing it…
I think what can be presumed as definite is that he’s been propositioned for escorting while living there after this long. Whether or not he’s taken up such offers I don’t think is definite… Plenty of rich Asian clientele like to hire photogenic Westerners as personal trainers to get their dilettante sons, wives, etc in ideal shape
You're not wrong! The glam of a social media profile is no indication of mundane reality. Another example for you: I know a hot young male model who does all the usual round of catwalk shows in the big name fashion capitals, i.e. Paris, Milan, Tokyo, etc. etc. He does the big name top tier fashion houses, not the lowly second or third tier houses. Male supermodel Garrett Neff handpicked him to work on his own fashion projects! But after all that, he still works as a carpenter with his dad. Very grounded kinda guy.Theoretically he could also have won the lottery, but it’s unlikely as well.
I’ve seen enough fitness trainers on IG to know how they behave: they post progress stories of their clients, advertise supplements and fitness-related stuff, showcase how good is their training technique, etc.
Dima could be an outlier and ignore all this, but I don’t think it probable. Asian clientele usually hires somebody who speaks their language. A cute face isn’t a requisite for a good trainer; a certification as professional trainer is probably more useful.
Clearly, this doesn’t mean that he is necessarily escorting. Possibly he has a job that isn’t fashionable enough for IG; I remember a former model who worked for a while as DHL truck driver (and he didn’t tell it on IG, but was mentioned on Linkedin). Maybe he works as a waiter in a restaurant (a shabby restaurant that doesn’t provide working shirts to its staff ).
