Some days are just fun and no sad thoughts go thru my head. One guy is a young very cute (in a truly boyish way) black man who is happiest when I am out on the roads with him and he is calling me 'sister' and I call to him 'my brother my brother from another mother, you did an awesome job today'. His smile outshines the sun and my heart does a happy dance.

I've been mulling over devoting a blog section just to my work crews. I find I have so much, so often, that I need to express in some fashion, and perhaps a blog section is the way to go. I have been out with one of my recycling/litter patrol crews all week. One guy is approx 67 yrs old- a bit fragile, has had heart troubles. But if he didn't come to work, well... he'd just wither away and die. I cut him some slack on the physically demanding tasks, yet he always wants to 'do his best for me'.
