I say that you know more of how to arouse a person than I will in my life time. You're practically Ms. Makes-em-throb. You can lick me all over if you want to, but I can't guarantee that I won't lick back. ;)

I believe the official count was 700 people made this trip, but not all of them were close friends. She is a close friend, and she came alone. Since she decided to come at the last minute, she couldn't get a room booked. Since I had a room with two king sized beds and was alone myself, I offered to let her have the other if she would split the cost with me.

The first thing she said to me was that her husband is an asshole, and out of 21 years of marriage, he has gone on 5 ski trips by himself and has never let her do anything on her own. So he let her come on this trip with us, but he didn't know she was staying with me. If he did, obviously he wouldn't have let her come. But I kept my hands and appendages to myself and she did the same.

Pervasive Development Disorders (PDD)

The term "PDD" is widely used by professionals to refer to children with autism and related disorders; however, there is a great deal of disagreement and confusion among professionals concerning the PDD label.

Diagnosis of PDD, including autism or any other developmental disability, is based upon the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Fourth Edition (DSM-IV), published by the American Psychiatric Association...

What is Autism?
Autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life and is the result of a neurological disorder that affects the normal functioning of the brain, impacting development in the areas of social interaction and communication skills. Both children and adults with autism typically show difficulties in verbal and non-verbal communication, social interactions, and leisure or play activities.

Autism is one of five disorders...

History

Asperger's Disorder was first described in the 1940s by Viennese pediatrician Hans Asperger who observed autistic-like behaviors and difficulties with social and communication skills in boys who had normal intelligence and language development. Many professionals felt Asperger's Disorder was simply a milder form of autism and used the term "high-functioning autism" to describe these individuals. Professor Uta Frith, with the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience of University...

I know I write about Apserger's a lot, to the annoyance of many, so I figured I would try and limit myself to this blog.

Asperger's is a topic near and dear to my heart because my adorable, 7 year old cousin was diagnosed with this disorder about 2 years ago.

He is my heart, I would do anything for this child. Which is why I try to keep up with new strategies and therapies for this disorder. Life with Malcolm or as I still like to call him 'babycakes' can...

I guess I should have posted this part before the bulleted points for it to make more sense. Please remember these are not my words. Though some of what this woman wrote did resonate with me.

In 2004 my beloved daughter Jesse died four days before her tenth birthday. Within nine months my precious son Cory was hospitalized following a near-fatal breakdown triggered by Jesse’s death. While no one is ever prepared for the death or serious illness of a child, I’ve realized in the last
