Hey all,

Just to let you know I am going to be offline for a couple of days. I am just finishing a work contract and I am under time pressure. If I don't get my work finished, I will have to work into next week but I am only getting paid until this Friday on this contract (and I start a new contract next week) so a work overlap really isn't desirable!

I should be back here by Friday evening (hopefully) or Saturday.

Yeah, and everyone here probably knows that I absolutely HATE double standards! :(

I'm kind of odd in that I go through brief periods where people who believe in double standards would call me "slutty", but then with L-O-N-G dry spells (sometimes lasting 4-5 YEARS!) between them! And it's not always easy for women to find sex, contrary to popular belief. If it was, I'd have those "slutty" (as they'd call it) periods all the time with no dry spells! Of course, I'm not indiscriminate. There are psychos out there and I don't want to wind up dead in a ditch somewhere! Or, more likely to happen, but also undesired, beaten up! Then there are guys I'm just not attracted to (although I have to admit that I've had sex with a few guys I wasn't attracted to. Oops! Interestingly, one of them turned out to be quite good!)

I'm glad I have a bit more experience (although I'm not really all THAT experienced!), because now I know more about what makes someone sexually compatible with me.

Hey, maybe one of us should start a thread about "what is an acceptable number of women to have sex with"... Just sayin'... (It won't be me though - I'm rather nonconfrontational usually, but a few things get me riled up and I CAN'T let them pass!)

I think the title of that thread should be "Double Standards". I tend to stay away from threads like that. (the ones that get me all riled up). I just let some of the guys have their little fantasy world.

I find it interesting that men are such hypocrites about these things. You notice there is no similar thread asking men what constitutes an acceptable number of women to sleep with? And some of the derogatory statements are beyond a joke. One guy likened his first wife to a doorknob - "everyone had had a turn". Surely he knew this before he married her?

From my own point of view, I wish I had shagged more men before I got married. If I had, maybe I would have known that my ex wasn't the right man for me. Of course, there is a chance that I would have still married him but at least I would have been slightly less green going in.
