I went away for the weekend to help a friend move into her new apartment in my favourite city. It was a great weekend, and pretty much stress free, with one exception. One of the men helping out decided to throw a psycho tantrum and stormed off before we got the van loaded, let alone unloaded up to the new apartment, which was on the third floor of an old house (think steep and narrow staircases with awkward corners).

My friend worried about getting her big furniture to her new place...

Woah - Hello Monday! Nice of you to snap me back to reality.

This past weekend, I lost all sense of time completely. This was the goal, anyway, with my bf coming to visit for such a short time (which got shortened further by flight delays).

I also apparently lost all sense of fear! One of the highlights of the weekend was when we were walking to a mountain on the edge of town. He looked at me and said "I'm so glad I can do things like this with you!" He praised...

I'm finally back to normal following almost 2 months of partial paralysis in my limbs last fall. That can really slow you down in school, especially when you play an instrument eh? It feels like a waste of time to me. I should've been practicing. I should've been going to class.

I went to about 5 classes for one of my music courses and walked into the final exam with my heart in my throat, knowing that this exam would be 100% of my mark in that course. I didn't hold my breath waiting...

I just realized that about now is my 1 year anniversary to being on LPSG and while the site has changed a lot since, I think much more has changed for me. It's amazing to think about what happens in a year. Ups and downs, all around.

My biggest "down" has to be moving. I went to one university for three years and abandoned ship before it really went down. The move has been good for me - don't get me wrong, it's been amazing - but I've missed the people I met there.

This has not been an easy start to the school year. I was doing really great and absolutely loving my new school and putting together a concert series for palliative and long-term care facilities for the upcoming year to get music students out of their practice rooms. There have been a few setbacks.

A little over a week ago I started having another bout of something which is too lengthy to describe but I get this several times a year, this time being the worst and still going strong....
