Rush hits Sheffield, UK
Well folks, I'm back after a fantastic night @ Hallam FM Arena, Sheffield, being entertained by Canada's finest.... RUSH.
Had me mate come down from Sunderland, whom the night before went to see Rush @ Metro Arena, Newcastle, and was so pleased with the performance, he decided to hook up with me @ Sheffield for second helpings.
My first time going to a gig, and very pleased I did.
I'll save myself from posting a full blog about the gig, and let my mate Trouty do the explaining as there was little difference between the two shows: http://www.fruitforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=27809
Myself, I was located right next to the stage, where Alex was placed, and got treated to some of the most fantastic riffs I have ever had the pleasure to listen to, deafened to fuck by Alex's amp rig / Fireworks during "Far Cry", BBQ'd by the flame jet upper left, behind Alex (Hope Alex did not have a curry from the local curry house), some rather pleasing smiles from Geddy when I had my "South Park Kyle Plushie" strapped to my head (The guy's are big mates with Matt And Trey), absolute cracking drum solo from Neil (No wonder they call this guy "The Professor"), and some rather odd performance from (I presume) one of the roadies dressed as a Chef, attending to the chickens roasting in the three rotisseries (marked as "Henhouse") on-stage.
All in all, glad I cut my teeth on this gig, as my first ever experience to attending a major gig. Just wished I had the spare cash right now to see the show again at Birmingham / Manchester.

Oh almost forgot, I feel sorry for the poor bastard that is to clean the Toilet @ Medowhall Interchange
