Considering a new photo gallery

there are so many pros and cons about the photo gallery option. i really enjoyed having my photos uploaded and receiving comments. however, after all the lpsg drama that i've gone through, it left me feeling unsafe and vulnerable. lately i've been thinking about starting up my gallery again though. but, my main concern is my photos getting into the wrong hands and being used who knows where on the internet. oh what to do?

| |  Well, I vote "do it". =) But.. I get your concerns, so don't just do it if you feel weird about it. If you're just afraid of someone stealing your stuff, you might consider putting a watermark or something on each pic. *shrug* |

| |  I have the same concerns...so I crop the head out. However, as the others have said, if you aren't comfortable, don't do it until you are feeling more secure. |

| |  thanks for your opinions everyone. so far i'm still 50-50 on making a decision. my main concern is having my photos stolen and used in fake profiles and such. i think making a watermark would be a good idea as well (thanks lonamisa for the suggestion!) |

| |  Well, if your avatar shot is revealing of your face, I say you should consider it, cause you're smokin' in that pic! And if it turns out you'd rather not people see your face in there, well, follow suit in other's galleries and use a large brimmed hat & some shades, or just a lower torso shot. Either rate, yours truly would kill to see what you look like. |

| | alright everyone... i've decided to start off slow with uploading gallery pics. so far i've only uploaded the photo used in my avatar. i figured everyone already knows what i look like in that pic, why not enlarge it? also, when i feel more comfortable i'll add more photos in. thanks for all of your support LPSG =) |

| |  I wouldn't put a pic in the gallery that would haunt you...later on...there is a freedom with a gallery...no doubt...but you can't manipulate who sees it and uses it. A safer way would be to send out pics to people you trust...if you wish to share your looks...a much safer way....as you are already feeling vulnerable... just a suggestion. (hug) |
