I want to be a writer and am just starting to write little short stories. I wrote this one in about 20 minutes. I'm sure there's a ton of errors both in syntax and grammar and it probably sucks but I need practice and what better way for it than to just write for the sake of writing? I would like to know what you all think and I look forward to reading any feedback.

I've made more than a couple of attempts at asking girls out but so far I get the "Sure" answer followed by the "I can't that day. I'll let you know when I can" answer. After that, nothing. Please don't think of this as another "Poor me" blog but this is pretty annoying. A man can only get shot down so many times before he starts to think there's something wrong with him.

After years of not being certain of where my life is heading career-wise I've finally made a decision to stop being scared and have decided to pursue writing. When I go back to school in the fall I will switch my major to english and start on the road towards a career.

I thought about it a lot and it's about the only career path I can see that will actually work out for me. I'm terrible at math and science. I have no mechanical talents whatsoever and am not a "people person"....

I invited the girl I like from work to my birthday party. I get along great with her and I'm so nervous to have her there but it's the only way that I can see for her to witness me as I am outside of work. I could ask her out directly but I enjoy our shifts together, rare they may be, and I really don't want a bad date or a denial to ruin that.
