The Saturday night before I was supposed to leave we had a family dinner at my parents house. My sister, her husband, my niece and nephew, my parents and I. I got very emotional when I hugged my mother goodbye. She is older and has had Parkinson's disease for over 10 years and is developing dementia. When I realized that it may be the last time I ever saw her I started sobbing in the porch.

I already had the trailer attached to my car so I was driven home by my brother-in-law....

I have finally decided to move to Florida. I won't leave here until late in July. I will give notice to my landlord at the end of this month and I have to stay for two months, which is cool because I have so much to do. I plan to locate to south Florida anywhere from Miami to just north of Fort Lauderdale.

I am so excited. I love south Florida and the warmth, and the beautiful beaches, and I am looking forward to the mild winters.

I already looked into moving options....

I lost 15 pounds the first month. It is very hard to do since you are limited in what you can eat. Mostly animal products such as meat, cheese and eggs. For snacks you can also have pork rinds. I have found an interesting recipe for pancakes with pork rinds instead of flour, but I also add some flax seed meal to it.

Right now I am baking some salmon in the oven to have later. The diet can be difficult to stick to, but cutting out sugar is great. I also found that sugar free chocolate...

It was a spur of the moment thing. I decided that I wanted one on Friday night and got it the next day. (March 29, 2008)

I figured it was removable if I no longer decided I wanted to keep it. I think I will keep it forever. I am looking into buying an acrylic ring so that it does not set off any metal detectors in the future.

I checked into places in my area on line. The closest place that was strictly a piercing place and state certified was 30 miles away. My GPS...

It's not even the winter yet (late Fall) and still I hate it. I don't want to go outside to run errands or do anything. Next year I hope to move to Florida and will only have to deal with the cold when I come up here to visit for the Holidays.
