iknowKK 'Does America tour' - week 3 & 4

OK, well I am now so far behind that I am going to cheat and do week 3 & 4 cos, well, it's just the start of week 5... holy moly it's going too quick!
SO last time I wrote I was flying from Chicago to LA and that's where I've been pretty much since, and still have one more week to go.
It was only when I landed in LA that I realised I hadn't given any thought at all to driving on the wrong side of the road. :O
And of course I took to it like a duck to water... almost... kind of.... apart from turning left.... hmmmm
Anyway, I had a fantastic weekend with a friend and we talked pretty much for 48 hours solid. So I ended up with a sore throat that sank onto my chest and have had a wheezy cough ever since.... oh bollocks!
So the following 3 days I kind of took it easy. Apart from driving to Long Beach to listen to a band play, and oops I got stopped by the cops
- it's those blasted left hand turns again! Though fortunately, on this occasion, I managed to talk my way out of it!!! I also got to meet a fabulous member of LPSG for coffee and a chat and had a wonderful Weds morning. 
The highlight of the week was a gig I went to on the Thursday evening where I saw my favourite bands and my heart throb all at the same time... had a nice chat, albeit short, with said heart throb and even got a photo with him...
More friends were in town so it was a pretty riotous weekend with more nights out and little sleep but I have to say the whole damn trip has been pretty much like it and I am having a fabulous time - I can sleep when I go home...
Week 4 and I headed off east to Vegas baby!
The car out on the open road.... the sun in the sky, the wind in my hair... and more bloody blue flashing lights in my rear view mirror!!!!
And oh bollocks I wasn;t so lucky as before and am now the owner of a scrappy piece of yellow paper that is apparently called a citation... if only I knew what to do with it... I could think of a few things I'd like to...... LOL
Anyway. did eventually ge to the noisy, never sleeping, brightly lit city that is Vegas and had a good time thank you very much!
Was there 2 days and 2 nights in a hotel which was pretty nice - more of an apt really, which was pretty comfy and just showed me to be the dullhead that I am cos I got ever so excited to see a bloody washing machine so in the 2 days managed to wash my entire 'travelling' wardrobe!
Everything is clean again! YAY!
SO that was Vegas - what a saddo! but it was fun...
Then it was a 5 hour drive to the Grand Canyon and this is where I really wish I could post pics - the view was GORGEOUS, to DIE for, pure heaven....
I got there just in time for sunset and just watched in awe as the shadows crept down the walls of the canyon.
Then the following morning I got up before dawn ( who the heck is dawn?!?! ) or should I say, day break LOL and low and behold it has snowed.... after scraping off 4 - 5 inches of snow from the car and thawing the damn thing out, I got my arse back up to the canyon and was rewarded for my early morning ventures.
Although there was no sunrise to be seen due to the snow laden clouds, the sight was stunning. This time snow stuck to the walls of the canyon, the light changed from the blueishness of the night to the red of the morning, right before my eyes. It was SO worth the drive there and back... absolutely magnificent and 'god-given'
Later that day, once I could tear myself away from the spectacle I headed back to LA. A mere 8 1/2 hours later I got there too! with no speeding tickets or anything!!! :) Actually I can assure you I am now a model citizen and have not (knowingly) gone over the speed limit since.... but, have to admit, sometimes I just can't find your signs telling me how fast I can drive... seriously... it just says 'do not park'' or something else unhelpful..... LOL I am sure they won't take that as part of my defense either, will they...?!?
Anyway. NOw safely ensconsed back in LA and have a pretty busy week of it planned for week 5.
It's quite scary to think it is week 5 already. I have, as yet, not felt homesick at all, or even thought about it too much. Just having a good time.
Of course.... I still haven't seen a large penis yet... nor had one, for that matter, but life is good and I'm having fun anyway!!!
Before you ask where next... I better go off and book some hotels and cars and stuff.... oops!

 |  I believe you kk seeing how that I have seen the pic.s of the Grand Canyon, how beautiful it was there and all the better with the snow. As for LV the one of Elvis working at Mc Donald was a hoot. Your ''KK's Wild Ride'' continues to sound like a great time. and now with clean undies everything will be even better.
