iknowKK 'Does America tour' - week 2

Oops I've got a bit behind!!!
Here's an attempt to catch up!
I started off week 2 in NY with a friend of mine who is going through the same kind of thing in terms of mid-life crisis/wondering what the hell is going on with us!
We had a great time and talked sooo much about stuff - as she had said to her husband before she left home - you couldn't afford the type of therapy I'm going to get over the next 4 days... and she was so right!
We wandered the streets of New York, drank coffee, ate, listended to Blues and even bumped into and got a hug from my heart throb!
Well not exactly bumped in to him... I saw him emerge from a building whilst I was petting someones dog... I would have said 'Hi' then but I could not for the life of me extricate this dogs nose from my crotch!
So I ended up hanging around on some street corner in the hope that he would come back that way!!! I was FREEZING!!! To have had the opportunity to see him was amazing in itself, but to miss it cos I was being molested by a dog whose snout was buried in my nether regions was something I just couldn't bear!! So I waited and was eventually rewarded, not only with a chat but a handshake - if only I could have still felt my hands I am sure that must have been lovely - and then a hug
)
Next stop was Chicago.
But one thing puzzled me before I left NY.... How come all my crap didn't fit back in my bags? I hadn't bought anything in NY!!! Yet I ended up with a skirt and jacket in my rucksack and a spare sweatshirt tied round my waist cos they just wouldn't fit back in!
The flight was delayed due to air traffic control but eventually we took off and I was on my way to the windy city! The pilot gave us the weather report! In Chicago it will be 9*C and misty! WOW! That was just as I would expect to be at home so I felt very prepared for what was in store!!!
On landing at O'Hare I could tell that the pilot had been a wee bit misinformed. I've seen a lot of mist in my time but if I wasn't mistaken that was a bloody blizzard!!! And 9*C my arse!! It was fricking freezing!!!
So I then had 3 great days with my friends in the very cold city of Chicago... I loved the bean, I walked from there to Navy Pier though by the time I got there I could no longer feel my legs... (it was -16*C / 4*F plus blooming windy). If I'd had a chizzle I'd have chizzled me some new stream line thighs...
and I went up the Hancock tower to the observatory...
Shame I have no idea of how to post pics on this blog... I have some nice ones...
My final night in Chicago, and the end of week 2 of my 'tour' (which, BTW, is still cockless....) was spent wondering if I'd get out of the cold and manage to get my flight to LA the next day... flights were being cancelled left, right and centre and snow was falling at an alarming rate!!
EEEK! HELP!!!

| | Finally! An update! I've been waiting to hear of your adventures. LA will make a nice contrast to Chicago. We will try to keep it warm here in the Old South for ya...it was in the 70's here today, but we can have a snowstorm as late as April at the drop of a hat as well. Keep up the blog! Its a great read for those of us stuck in our own dreary lives! |

| | Well kk you finally found time to up date your blog. I was wondering if LA had become to much for you to handle. You will remember I warned you about the windy Chicago, its one city that should be visited I'm the Summer only. Understand fun days ahead now since you have arrived in CA. Watch out for those laid back guys out there and have a great time. I'm keeping up with you and what I like to call ''THE WILD RIDE OF KK'' lol PS; If you get to San Jose give Monster a kiss for me. ![]() |
