iknowKK 'Does America tour' - week 5

So week 5 was my last week in LA... and it didn't really start as planned, or in the best of health...

I was staying the next 10 days with a friend and it turns out was horribly allergic to the duvet (comforter) on my bed!

Has my worst asthma event to date and she seriously wondered if I'd be alive in the morning.... which might have been a signal to her to call 911 but heh ho, she didn't, and more my luck than judgement I survived by managing to remove myself from the source and sleep (not sure that is the right word... though I was unconscious....) the rest of the night on the sofa!

Having already had a bit of a bad chest, I've been crap ever since - amazing cough and now, with the coughing and the steroids, I have pretty much no voice at all!

But I'm still going!!!

Saturday night was perfect with all my friends, my favourite band and my fave music.... plus of course, my favourite vodka/redbull. Would have been more perfect if I had not taken some of your american cough mixture before I went out.... :| oops....

Not sure at which point of the evening I lost my memory... but boy was I pissed!!! (not american 'pissed' ie angry, british 'pissed'... as a fart LOL)

Once I got out of the club and the air hit me.... boink!

Sunday was recovery day and Monday was 'get back on the trip' day and I spent most of the day socialising with friends.

Tuesday I got in my car (by now the bane of my life as parking in Hollywood is sooooo bad that I had to move the damned thing every 2 hours) and drove to Lake Forest for one of the best 'musical' nights of the trip! 4 out of the 5 bands playing were AMAZING and embarrassingly my notoriety preceded me and though I thought I only knew one there, they all knew me...

Wednesday was another sociable day with lunch with one friend then of course, the infamous dinner with the lovely Not Punny! *hearts*

We had a great evening, a super meal and a smashing chat 'bout y'all!!!

She's so beautiful and confident and I should really learn a thing or three from her! She has a wonderful heart too and next time in LA, we'll be planning another night out :)

Thursday was a quieter day with just one lunch date and a quiet evening. You'd think that would be good for my voice but to be honest, me being quiet for a while doesn't seem to make much difference... it just sounds worse each day.

Friday was the start of week 6, so I shall leave that til the next blog, albeit to say it didn't start well..... with a bloody $50 parking citation... :O
