So my mother called this morning.

She wants to chuck out my wedding dress.
For some reason I've always left it there, rather than bringing it here, but not sure I want to chuck it out.

My marriage is in dire straits and don't think I want to chuck out the dress just yet.

I mean I'm not going to do anything with it if I keep it. Have no kids to pass it on to, would never fit into it again.... but it just seems a bit symbolic to just discard.... yet....

On several occasions I've been in chat when some bloke has piped up 'there's a bird in my bed' or 'there's some girl in my kitchen'.

Just something they brought home last night with them and forgotten all about in the cold light of day!

Well I'd been away for the weekend and got home yesterday to what looked like the remnants of a bird in my dining room!

My cat brought her home.
There's feathers everywhere.

So week 5 was my last week in LA... and it didn't really start as planned, or in the best of health...

I was staying the next 10 days with a friend and it turns out was horribly allergic to the duvet (comforter) on my bed!

Has my worst asthma event to date and she seriously wondered if I'd be alive in the morning.... which might have been a signal to her to call 911 but heh ho, she didn't, and more my luck than judgement I survived by managing to remove...

OK, well I am now so far behind that I am going to cheat and do week 3 & 4 cos, well, it's just the start of week 5... holy moly it's going too quick!

SO last time I wrote I was flying from Chicago to LA and that's where I've been pretty much since, and still have one more week to go.

It was only when I landed in LA that I realised I hadn't given any thought at all to driving on the wrong side of the road. :O
And of course I took to it like a duck to water......

I started off week 2 in NY with a friend of mine who is going through the same kind of thing in terms of mid-life crisis/wondering what the hell is going on with us!

We had a great time and talked sooo much about stuff - as she had said to her husband before she left home - you couldn't afford the type of therapy I'm going to get over the next 4 days... and she was so right!
