i totally agree actually, adorable Ian. ;) i know i would feel less inhibited dancing if i was at a club by myself or my friends were out of sight. i had a really horrible experience being grabbed to the dance floor by a girl i had this crush on, and dancing awkwardly in front of my friends. i still get chills.

Preaching to the choir dude. As a black woman who loves to go to clubs and 'shake her groove thang' I have often been told by friends both black and white that I have no sense of rhythm and can't dance. As a result I used to dread going to clubs where I would be the only black person, because I thought the whites always expected me to throw down.

Can you imagine how awful it was for me attending school dances at a historically black college with hundreds of students who grew up watching Soul Train while I was watching American Bandstand.

Now I don't think about it, I just go and have a good time.

I don't dance well, either, but when my friend passed away 8 years ago, I went dancing by myself to celebrate the good times we had on the dance floor. If someone criticizes your dancing, they are full of it. It is not a competition.

I actually like to go out clubbing by myself for good intensions- always for good tunes, not always to hookup. I enjoy hanging out with group, but generally not totally comfy making out or getting sexy with a guy infront of friends. With doing infront of strangers im ok but little reserved if you like.

Will not find me on my knees infront of 2000 others giving head to anyone at big parties [like some that i had seen] not to say its bad [I just feel theres always time and place for everything].

Im the biggest dag i know and proud to be learning that having fun is much more important then looking kool. Actually nerdy jock types can be fun too.
