The List

My friend encouraged me to write down all the qualities I'm looking for in my next man. It was a very long list.
After a year or so, I revised it. I was able to condense it, but it was still pretty long.
Then, I met this guy. And, I fell into an unrequited love situation with him. I didn't mind, b/c I knew we would never work out. I enjoyed being in love with him.
One day, I happened upon my revised list and found that the guy I was in love with fit my requirements almost to a T. It gave me hope. I began to believe that I really could get what I wanted in a man.
So, I promptly fell out of love with that guy.

| | He wasn't The One. Why remain in love with someone who isn't going to love you back? I know some ppl do it, but all of a sudden, I realized how much of my time I was wasting. |
