Tell Me Something New

I'm going to take a break from this site for a bit - I'll bet that you're thinking, "tell me something new". 
The past two weeks have been a rollercoaster ride for me. On the workfront, our company is in the process of closing down which is what ultimately led to our decision to emigrate. Chances of me finding employment over here are fairly slim. There's been a lot of warfare taking place between my bosses which gave me a sense that the writing is on the wall. I was proven right last week. Things have turned progressively ugly with each passing day as two of the three partners are trying to screw the third one over big time. The third one is in the process of opening up a new company with a view of me doing freelance work for them from my new place of residence, so I've had to play lawyer, accountant and a whole array of jobs. I've been handling most of the responsibilities required to close the company as well as to assist with the opening of the new one. So it's been draining and has taken up a lot of my spare time.
I also have a business on the side and now that my clients have heard about my plans, business has skyrocketed quite a bit. No complaints from me as it means that I'll be leaving with more money in my pocket, however it has meant that I've had to pull an all nighter here and there. Added to which, one of my clients has found a buyer for my business which means that I have to sort through equipment, get financials ready etc. Pant, pant, pant!
The latest development is that yesterday my brother-in-law was informed that he has cancer that appears to have spread to his lymph nodes and he will have to go for a full body scan to see if it has spread anywhere else. I can't help but feel guilty because I will be leaving whilst this ordeal is on the go but on the other hand, I'm not sure if I'm ready to go through another bout of hospitals and the depressing environment that they bear. I admit that I'm most probably being incredibly selfish right now.
I've haven't begun to pack let alone get my passport renewed. I have about a month left in our home so I can't put things off for much longer.
Needless to say that short of being able to clone myself or create 48 hour days, I'm going to have to take a break from here so that I can start to do the things that are in desperate need of my attention.
I hope to be back soon!
