Sex Podcasts

I think sex is interesting, no matter what perspective you come at it from. So I've been downloading a bunch of different podcasts about sex. A podcast, for those of you who are newbies to podcasting, is a show you can download and listen to on your computer or mp3 device. All of these shows I listen to on my iPod, and I get them all thru iTunes.

The Savage Love Podcast. Dan Savage has a syndicated sex-advice podcast in many alternative papers across the country ... many of which are free on street corners or in stores.

He takes on all subjects about sex and relationships. His personal style is blunt, sarcastic and funny, and ... way more often than not ... really knows what the hell he's talking about. Click the link and see the description of some of the recent shows and see if it doesn't get your interest.

This was the first sex podcast I stumbled across, and it's still the best, in my mind.

Sex is Fun: As the description says, this show is "dedicated to the rational discussion of human sexuality from the approach of fun, enjoyment and pleasure."

The host of Sex is Fun, Kidder Kaper, is clearly passionate about sex, especially having FUN with sex, and he and his show partners have put together over a hundred discussions on tons of different sexual topics.

Many of these are long shows ... and can wander off course at times ... but there's almost always good chemistry between Kidder, his engineer Coochie, and some of the other characters who wander thru, more or less permanently, over time. I'd start with the early ones, pick the topics that interest you, and give it a whirl.

By the way, while you're at their website, look for some of the video podcasts they have. Lorax pleasuring herself with the clear dildo made me instantly hard.

The One Taste podcasts: I mentioned these folks in an earlier blog posting. "A Taste of Sex: Reality Audio" explores life in an "orgasm-based community." I'm fascinated and turned on by these folks who break down society's sexual rules to improve their own conciousness.

They also have a show called "A Taste of Sex: Erotic Poetry Readings." Don't let the phrase "poetry readings" put you off, though. The folks at this community write about their experiences and read them out loud in this show. Some are lame ... some I find myself jerking off to later.

"A Taste of Sex: Guest Speakers" is an interview show with some of the sexual experts who come to the One Taste center in San Francisco to give special lectures and workshops. There's a ton of different subjects here ... again, scroll down the list and see what catches your interest ... and give it a listen.

Swingercast: John and Allie, who host this show, are swingers. This show is them sharing their lives with us ... they talk about their lives, and re-live their swinging experiences with the people they've gone swinging with! While I'm not a swinger, I am kinda voyeuristic, and enjoy this show as one I go back to periodically. It's a cool view into a sexual lifestyle other than my own.

Expanded Lovemaking: Dr. Patti Taylor, who hosts this show, is clearly a very spiritual woman who absolutely loves a hot roll in the hay! She's one of those rare people who seems to be in touch with both her higher self and her G-spot, too. She talks with guests about spirituality and sexuality, and if you're looking for the point where those subjects meet, this is as good a starting place as any.

There is a lot of murky, hard-to-understand stuff out there about spirituality and sex. The people that Dr. Patti talks with, more often than not, cut through the crap and describe their own experiences. Some of the shows are interesting or even hot; some are deadly dull, to my ear. However ... if you're looking for a start on your path to exploring spirituality through sexuality, check out the topics and find what touches your spirit and your genitals at the same time.

Gay and Lesbian Podcasts: I really haven't explored gay-themed podcasts as much as I could. I guess maybe I don't like cock as much as I thought I did??!? However, if you click this link, you'll find all the gay-themed podcasts listed at Podcast Alley, a huge podcasting portal. And my apologies to my GLBT bruthas and sistahs for not exploring this side of podcasting more!

There are a TON of other podcasts that discuss sex as a prime topic or side issue. You may just want to click the Podcast Alley link above, and search by "sex" or whatever turns you on. The shows I've listed here are the ones I enjoy and look forward to. There's lots of others that have died off but are worth looking back on ... and others that you will enjoy more than I do.
