I picked up E for our Halloween outing. Unfortunately, as she had already warned me Wednesday, she wasn't dressed in a costume (I was). We had about an hour-long drive to get to the haunted attraction. We shared some Lindt chocolate truffles that I'd brought and there was good conversation, as usual. She brought up how she had found a note from a guy in her complex who had seen her taking out the trash and that he thought she was pretty and would she go out with him. Said she gets that kind of thing...

I think Wednesday's dinner date at my place went really well. When E first arrived I was a little speechless because she's so gorgeous. But I recovered my senses after a moment and set about with the dinner, which really could not have turned out much better with both taste and timing. We had to wait 10 minutes for the lasagna to cool, so that was time enough for salad and french bread. She complimented me on various details like the candles, salad toppings, Italian sausage in the lasagna, etc....

I think one of the reasons I was so unsure of where E stood is that she never initiated any contact with me. That changed on Sunday evening when she sent me a text:
So later that night I wrote her an e-mail in response and also asking if she'd be interested in a homecooked meal at my place this Wednesday evening. She wrote me back in the morning:

I e-mailed E late last night with a link to the haunted attraction that I had brought up during date four (she had been non-committal about what her Halloween plans were) and also hinted about my Halloween costume. I got a reply from her early this morning:

It seems like after every date with E I'm left confused and baffled, wondering how she feels. Then I get some encouraging remarks here which lift my spirits, she sends me a promising e-mail with winks and xoxo, and then the cycle starts all over again.

While out on our third date (the comedy club) I had brought up how all the halloween costumes nowadays are all sexy, even things like Care Bears. She expressed interest, so I e-mailed her a link to them and yesterday she wrote me back...
