Glute widening exercises?

We know of the glute firming, lifting, and tightening exercises... but what can I do to widen it? You see jocks and gym boys with wide bubble butts. What, exactly, are they doing to get that? Does it HAVE to enlarge the thighs too? Because my thighs are already wide (wider than my tush by a smidge).

I do clenches (these only keep it lifted, really) and I've started doing "kickbacks" (thanks Vince!) but I'd like one of those widened tushies. And don't say "sit around" because, being a homebody, I do that a lot. :p So what can be done? I saw this machine that has you put you foot in a sling and pull back but I don't have one of those and I'm not currently in a gym (I'm trying to find one with a Pool that ISN'T the YMCA).

For the "be happy with what you have" crowd: I've got a very nice ass. It sticks out just far enough and is quite nicely shaped when viewed form the side. I'm happy with it but there is room for improvement in everything in life. Right now, my butt is pretty narrow when viewed from the back. I could take a photo to show you what I mean and I can find some examples of my goal.

Edit: The first attachment is my goal. The second is my current from behind(yes, the mirror NEEEEEDS washing XD). The third is just a nice one from the side. x3 The last 2 are just really nice asses... and I wouldn't mind mine looking like that. :3
