This is exactly why I don't see it happening. I know people make a lot of sacrifices for fashion and looks, but... men got the free pass on shoes. We get to wear sneakers, boots or loafers - all of which are comfortable. Cowboy boots (as opposed to hiking/work boots) are probably the least comfortable footwear in our lineup, and even those aren't so bad once you break them in thoroughly. Why throw high heels into the mix, aside from it looking silly under a bigger frame.
That being said... I've still worn heels (my brother and I went in drag for Halloween one year) and I don't think they're
that uncomfortable (or maybe my shoes weren't cute enough to be painful?), but I'll stick to running shoes as my casual shoe o' choice.
