Glory holes were indeed much more prevalent 50 years ago..bowling alleys, movie theatres , department stores,park restrooms, hotels, bars, train stations, comfort stations and yes colleges all had them. Straight and gay alike frequented them and they were usually busy most of the time. Sometimes there would even be a line of guys waiting for the special cubicle with the hole!
