Do all highschools have gym showers?

Ive been wondering if all highschools hade gym showers and how many of them are required so if your highschool didn't have a public shower then say so. if your highschool did have a public shower than how public and how did everyone react to each other?

The high school I attended had public showers. There was virtually no privacy in the actual shower area, as it was really one huge room with about 30 shower heads. Everyone acted cool as far as I know.

I didn't have to take gym in high school because I was in marching band, and we marched every afternoon after school, and that was our physical education.

However, when I was in junior high school, we did have showers, and it was interesting to say the least...I saw guys who were in various stages of puberty.

Now, I'm hearing that when they build new high schools, they don't put in showers because kids are not willing to take showers at school. The reasons I hear are that families are smaller and kids usually have their own rooms and are unaccustomed to showering with others. When I was a kid, it was no big deal to take a bath with my older brother.

Apparently, that's just not done anymore.

Another piece of evidence is that in our local (and government sanctioned) nude lake recreation area, all the younger guys wear bathing suits. I find it kind of interesting that the girls' bathing suits get more and more revealing while the guys' bathing suits cover up more and more of their bodies.

I suspect that the pendulum will swing at some point.

We had showers in High School, But we almost never used them. I used them once with the running back who was there late with me and we decided to shower, Hot water and alot of steam, and a hardon that could'nt help but be noticed, That is another story.

In junior high, Showering was part of your grade and the perverted teacher stood at the end of the row and watched all these teens getting showered. I saw alot of different stages as well, This one kid had full bush and a huge uncirced cock. I could'nt help but stare, I was shocked by his size and the fact that he was fully developed. I am not a fan of forskin, But I used to make sure we went in at the same time. I think he know I liked too look,because he used to make sure he would always turn towards me when he was toweling off. I graduated high school in 1984, the school was built in the late 60's early 70's and yes there were showers in the boys and girls locker rooms. However, we were never alotted time to shower after gym class. Consequently most girls did the bare minimum so as not to get hot and sweaty, especially if they had 1st period gym.

I was often on the late activity buses with the jocks as I was on yearbook, a flag twirler and did drama club. I can assure you by the ripe aroma, mud, and grass stains none of the female athletes and very few of the boys took showers.

we had showers int he locker rooms, but they were used for afterschool sports, only certain ones, wrestling, track,and a few others, no one showered after gym class though, wasnt like that

Tbh, when i went to highschool two years ago, the showers were open, everyone was naked in rows. It wasnt required but most did because our class was very close, And since the coaches cant see showers. about 60% of us jacked off in the showers.

When I was in high school and middle school, nobody took showers. Our schools had shower rooms but they were mostly used to store gym equipment. For that reason I didn't have a public shower room experience until I was in college. Since I didn't have that experience when I was younger, I'm still not comfortable in open public showers.

we had some at my school, but we only used them to rinse off after being in the pool. no one really got fully nude....ever.

Let's see, that was over 30 years ago, no we didnt have any showers at our high school.
But we did have a public bath house, which we attended for the use of the pool.
The showers were not a safe place to be.

Same here. Teacher told us we could actually take a shower if we wanted to, though. Nobody ever did!

i graduated in '04 and went to two different high schools.

the first one was public, and was built in early 2000's. it had two gang showers, each with about 30 showerheads. the showeres were seperated by a hallway, so if you were in one shower, you could clearly look at everyone in the second shower across the hall.

the second one was a private school and was built in the late 80's. it had only one shower, but it had only 5 shower heads. the school was really small, and there were only 7 guys in my pe class.

at both schools tho no one really made a big deal of it. it was borderline awkward at the private school tho because we were all so close, we all had some interesting conversations and dares going on. but in my opinion, showering naked in front of everyone is better than finishing your day smelling like shit.
