Interesting what strong opinions some peeps have formed about a site they say they only know about from hearsay. (sure)

Join and defend myself? Sorry Jason_els, as much as I do respect you, I've heard way too much about the other site to reasonably think that me joining and opening my mouth to speak there would be akin to sticking my cock in a nest of fire ants.

That's less reassuring than I'd hoped, still, there's time, ah. Like I said, I was informed someone was being harsh about me, but I haven't see or read it. I'm just pissed someone I seriously doubt I know feels they can openly bitch behind my back.

My opinion is that site was created just for that, talking shit about people behind their backs... I guess it's the new OLPSG now

I did not like it there. Most of the people who post know each other and it is hard to fit in.

The best thing about that site it is that if you are banned from here you can go over there and bitch about it.

That's not entirely true. There are many cross members and there is more than just bitching about the people and policies here. I do not deny that said bitching is a big topic at That Other Place (wry analogy btw), but as it grows, I hope those threads will become the minority. I think it also fair to state that you have been the focus of some of the conversations there so I don't doubt your opinion of That Other Place is at least partially colored by that.

I hope that if you do go there from time to time, as you obviously have, that you do take note of some of the complaints about LPSG. I believe some of them are legitimate despite the impolite ways they may be expressed.

I've been aware of the other site almost since it's inception. I even had an account there briefly. I didn't like it, too much bitterness and contempt for my gentle nature.

What bothered me the most was the number of people with dual memberships and apparently dual personalities. I don't mean multiple accounts. I mean the many LPSG.org members, who chose to go over there and bitch about the rest of us over here. Then they come back here and blow smoke up our internet butts as if they had never been to the OLPSG. I don't like two-faced people in real life and I damn sure don't like them online. I haven't logged in there since before Christmas. I have had some tell me there are many who hate me over there, that's reason enough for me to stay here. I don't go where I'm not wanted.


You hit the nail on the head. I'd be a tad curious to know how many members over there just stumbled upon the site and aren't banned or disgruntled members from here.

Love to know who exactly they are so I can get the full story on it.

I was given that link back at my start here on LPSG. I had asked about who Big Dirigible was and a few other things related to him or her and then, someone kindly directed me over there.

What can I say? It's a website and the same as this one, it has good and bad features. Perhaps one day I will give it another look. For now, this place seems much more to my liking in terms of variety and volume.

Then it's time to add that stipulation to the TOS. If it's preemptively edited out of someone's post then it's not a request, it's a demand.

I think not allowing links to That Other Place is a huge mistake. You have just given That Other Place power over LPSG.

I never knew about the site, but now I'm kinda curious if I've been mentioned on there. Not enough to actually join or request a link or anything. I know that if I have been, it'd be in the same nature they apparently talk of others... with their heads shoved up their asses.

Even it's clear in this thread how sweeping generalizations are made though guys. We are generalizing everyone over there as a bunch of bitching banned members. Not everyone over there is bitching or talking about others behind their backs, there are lots of members that went there because their friends are there and they prefer to be somewhere away from the chaos here.
