If You Could Have Only 1 Question Answered, Which Would It Be

I would want to know the answer to the second question as I feel the outcome to the first one would be greatly affected by how I went about following through with my purpose. From

From what I was taught as a child in Sunday school the teachings in the Bible tell us that to be absent from the body is to be present with God. IF that is true (personally I believe it is) any thing else does not really matter. When you have transcended this mortal coil, and you have all of eternity living in peace and free of sickness, disease etc why bother with crap that took place here? Besides, God surely must have some sort of Q & A orientation planned. lol

I understand the natural curiosity. I too would like to know who killed Marylin and if in fact she was alone AND if the primary in Florida was really rigged!

-I don't need the answer to the first question, because the question in itself is silly. (There is no "purpose" to our existence, we weren't "put" here for a reason. We are the result of chance and evolution.)

-And we already know the answer to the second question (you die, you rot, you become part of the biosphere and get recycled as nutrients for plants and animals. Over the long term, the planet vaporizes as the Sun explodes, and we become part of a big cloud of gas.)

-The question I would love to have an answer to, though, is: how many other planets support (intelligent) life? Is it thousands? Millions? Or rather billions?

I was thinking along the same lines when I posed my question...but the answer to yours seems given. Statistically speaking, it's virtually impossible that ours is the only planet in the entire universe to have fostered sentient life. I'd really like to be able to contact some of the others out there...but the vastness of space is the limiting factor if Einstein was right on the money with Special Relativity.

Neither of those really matter to me. What I want to know is,

Who left the wet towel on the bathroom floor?

I'll find out #2 soon enough, but there's no guarantee that I'll find out the original mission statement.

I would want to know definitively whether superluminal propulsion is within the realm of physical possibility.
You should pick up Physics of the Impossible by Michio Kaku. He explains some of the latest advances and advents towards Sci-Fi technologies, including beyond light speed travel, and provides theories and concepts that could work for each if applied properly. I've only read a couple of sections of it (didn't have the money to buy it), but it's a great read.

i'm not concerned about my reason for being on earth. what i am concerned about is what happens to us after we die. do our spirits leave us? do we actually go to heaven? is there even a heaven? simpley thinking about this scares the shit out of me.

Which is the greatest reason that something as archaic as mythological religions continue holding sway over so many to this day. Fear is the easiest of human responses to manipulate.

That’s an interesting question as I see there are scientists sitting on both sides of the fence on that issue!

My one question would be "Why the hell have they never done a sequel to "Big Trouble in Little China" ? ("Is it getting hot in here or is it just me?")

But if not that the alternative question: "Ketchup or mustard?"
