Dang, voting is closed.

The funniest name I've ever seen for a hamster is "Shiva" (Hindu "Destroyer of Worlds") -- this, for a hamster that was actually missing both front teeth (the only possibly dangerous parts of a hamster) and who had to have her food moistened into paste before feeding.

A hamster with a lightly dangerous name -- "Spike", "Bruiser", "Nails" -- is a possibility.

You could go with pop culture references: "Maurice" (from Steve Miller's "The Joker"), "Kurtz" (from Heart of Darkness or "Apocalypse Now"), or maybe "Joey Joe Joe Junior Shabba-Do" (The Simpsons).

Or maybe public figures who look like hamsters: "McCain", "Rickles", "Limbaugh".

Cheers,
Kev

i think butterscotch is so cute! props to MR for coming up with the name. the other picks i liked were cinnamon and hammond cheese i am biased with the name cinnamon because i used to have a lop-ear bunny named cinnamon. his coat was a light brown color and he was so mean to everyone else but he loved me.

Butterscotch is cute. I like it when pets are named after foods/condiments.

I would have recommended:

Pepper
Sugar
Banjo
