IMO America bashing is not passe. There's nothing new or recent about either. Since the war in Vietnam it has been pretty much a constant thing, both within the country and outside. As long as the US is the richest, most powerful and aggressive nation, expect it to continue.
I think it will be passe for foreigners in about thirty years. By then it will be China's turn.
I also think that Americans believe that us foreigners spend a great deal of time thinking about them. I far as I can see we spend more time bashing our own governments. Just like you guys. |
