Celibacy

Is it okay to want to be celibate? I have had a dry spell for almost three years because of a change in jobs and moving to a new area. I have been thinking more about it lately as I would like to have sex back into my life. But I have been pretty happy without the stress and worry of having another person in my life brings. Still I can not help but be self-conscience about it. Great website by the way though.

as long as you're happy, don't worry about what others may think...
besides, unless you broadcast it, how would anyone know?

Even married people sometimes are celibate . So don't feel bad about that .

I sit out of the game for years on end. Especially after breaking up with someone, I'm just not feelin it. Not a lot of temptation where I live (none really).

Starting up again after you have been celebate can be a lot of fun tho!

I think its ok to do whatever is good for you as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. If it works for you then good that you found a stress free,

Its ok to be celibate. In fact its normal. In the different periods of my life ive gone a year or more without sex. It made me a better person.

I was celibate for over 8 years -both my choice and lack of options- and it never really bothered me.

I honestly think that it's better to wait for someone who intrigues and arouses you both mentally and physically -even if they are a one night stand- than some random for the sake of getting your rocks off.

yeah, it's hard not to be self conscious, especially if other people hassle you (usually those who are just as sexless I've found) but you can pay them no mind and have faith in yourself that the dry spell will end and you'll find someone worth while to spend time with.

Moving to new areas doesn't help often but at least you have places like this if you want to make a connection or at least vent. :)
