Its called deregulation and free trade. The theory is that if you remove all regulation from commerce, the free market will create a utopia all by itself.
It is a good theory except for one little flaw. That flaw is that it depends on corporations not being greedy and the consumer being perfectly informed and savvy enough to make the right choices. For some reason, it doesn't seem to be working. |
