No, no, no, no and NO! Do not think about not coming back = you will be missed!
I have never adjusted well to change; especially change I didn't initiate. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but right now the site is visually distressing for me. I'm not sure why, as it's still black, white, and gray; but I'm not liking it.
Newsflash from five years ago, sysops: UI improvements involve simplification of access to the most important functions. If you're adding clicks or steps to get to things we're accustomed to seeing at a glance, you're going the wrong direction.
I have yet to see anything that has been improved.

You can change the color scheme in windows. I have mine set at High contrast Black. I see everything with a black background and bright colors. No more plain white and grey for me.
another feature - you can see who has "viewed" your profile - more like a page feature - myspace etc.. add friends, etc. ~click your profile check the bottom right - find your stalkers..er..uhm ... visitors.
What's with this, "friends," thing? We can have people on our buddy list who aren't friends? If not, then what does being a friend entail and what's with the permission thing? What does it do? If I don't check the friend box, am I ignoring people?
So I guess what I'm asking is, what's the difference between a contact and a friend and does that mean I have to send "friendship requests" to everyone who was on my buddy list?
It's a bit unnerving that everyone can see my friendship/contact list. Makes it feel like a popularity contest. I haven't received any friendship requests either, which means either I need to use more deodorant or it's borked, except from some guy I'd never heard of but it says he requested it back in January!
Well, at least he's trying something different to try to re-vamp the board. Give him a chance. It takes time to re-design something. Give it a chance to work itself out. I'm sure he'll have some kinks to work out with each successive "launch."
