Gallery Comments - Yay or Nay?

Do you think we should be able to delete our own comments? Or are you not that bothered.

Personally I am not that bothered. But some disillusioned fool has left a comment saying I need circumcising - twice (on the same photo)

So I would like to know if you would like to be able to delete comments. And you can post your funniest/craziest comments here

When I still had some photos in my gallery, I only got a couple of idiot comments. They didn't really bother me much, but what those types of comments do is point out just how stupid some of these poor things are. The comments in your gallery do more to illustrate his deficiencies, rather than yours.

Nah, in most cases, I say leave the comments. It's almost like publishing nasty PMs from trolls. In more severe cases, though, perhaps the moderators could delete abusive posts in galleries.

Also it does seem strange...for one that his username is circumcised spelt wrong and second that he is supposedly from Cornwall which is in the UK. I reckon he's someone who was cut at birth and is jealous of uncut guys. He would be in a minority in the UK as most guys are uncut.

I didn't know that you couldn't delete the comments. Maybe you could delete the photo and then just repost it if you want it in your gallery. Perhaps the ones that left you nice comments before will redo them for you. That's hoping for the best.

I think you should be able to delete comments from your gallery.. would eliminate some grief. Quite a few women have pix up and then take pix down when the negative comments become exceedingly nasty.

The fact that we can't delete our comments is really assinine and has no fucking reason of being. It is either laziness or just plain meanness because we all know how some people like to talk shit in our galleries and there is nothing that we can do about it. It is rather sad and pathetic, and one of the reasons that I have NOT renewed my Gold Membership.

It's a fair point to say that keeping the insults there allows everyone to see who the idiots are,but we have lost some excellent galleries from members who have been upset by it.
The photos are one of the main attractions to new members.People posting their shots for the first time should be encouraged,if they're on the receiving end of this garbage some of them won't bother posting again if they can't delete the comments.

Personally I think that a negative gallery comment is a much greater stain on the integrity of the person who posted it than the person to whom the gallery belongs.

Extending some petty thread spat into desecrating someone's gallery is just another indication of the paucity of some poor asshole's intelligence and character. It in no way lessens the quality of the pix in his/her gallery.
