"Inherited" Personality Flaws

What personality flaws did you "inherit" from your parents? I'll start:

1) Overly-sarcastic (I'm able to temper this in front of strangers)
2) Extremely critical of others (I don't think I can ever get rid of this one)
3) Overtly opinionated (I have tempered this one)
4) Absolute intolerance for stupid people (see #2)
5) Saying embarrassing things/foot-in-mouth syndrome (I abolished this one over time)

Do you think you "inherited" them or do you think it was more a case of nurture vs nature? I have to think about what I may have "inherited" from my parents. One man's personality flaw is another's family values...

I would say that all the things you've mentioned are "traits"
not anything inherited per se from your parents.
Why would you want to put out your "bad traits" anyway?
I don't think I'd want to brag about that.

once the mind becomes conscious of all your personality traits you can change them.

that's why i always wondered, how do people become conscious of whatever decision making flaws or additude flaws they have, but still make no effort to change them? they just say "fuck it that's how i am" . and seem to be proud of it. and somehow, these people end up in the white house.

Simple. Most people don't examine their lives, behaviors, or motives to any great degree.

The genesis for the post was self-examination. I just spent a weekend with my family and noticed how annoying/destructive some of these traits are, especially when you can see them frm another perpective.

I think these were all nurture based......I will probably start one about the positives, of which there are many.
