What's The Deal With Poppers?!

Okay,
So i've seen videos on Xtube and other websites of guys inhaling this, and i've seen a couple of posts mentioning this on the forum. ]

How many people here actually use it?

Why do you use it?

What are your experiences with it; have you had complications from the drop in blood pressure?

etc, etc. Discuss.

lol....i have used it....never during sex though....the headrush it gives you through inhaling is intense and during orgasm it supposed to enhance the feeling of euphoria....having tried it without the sex i would'nt bother using it...waste of goog air freshner (poppers original usage)

Just like everthing else out there, be very careful with them.
Some people can't stand the smell of them. If they get in your eyes they sting like hell and you'll want to wash your face immediately. Don't let them touch your skin either. They're known to "burn" or scar the underside of your nose. Above all, don't overdo it. When I was younger I've seen people go through nearly an entire bottle in one setting and it was like having sex with a crackhead.

I did run a search, and I only saw a couple of threads about the subject, and many threads containing the word. I'd rather have an open discussion on what I want to know, instead of opening every thread in a new window, pressing CTRL+ F, typing "poppers" and going through every page to find somebody mentioned it.

poppers give me a headache and make me go limp...

Side note... they used to use these in the air vent system in Studio 54 to help people to loosen up when they were in the club. So even if you didn't do the drugs..you sure were in a better mood :)

I agree poppers are an INSTANT Headache for me......also for you who use viagra or cialis for fun or medical reasons.....poppers and Viagra do NOT mix..a prescription for cardiac arrest at the worst, passing out at the best....

I feel that the popular usage of this drug sends out a bad message to people; sex should feel good and be fun, not self-destructive. If you have to be high out of your mind in order to enjoy sex, you have serious issues.

Years ago, before they were considerably weakened, they would greatly increase one's sexual response for a few minutes. Many people used them to intensify orgasm.
But now they're so weak that I don't see the point.
And they're not good for the body ... so they are self-destructive.
And I have to agree with you, Greek Dude, that sex shouldn't be self-destructive.

One of the reasons many people use it is that it is supposed to stop pain when receiving anal sex. One time, many moons ago, in a gay movie theater a guy gave me some and said they were very good, and they were from England. I became disoriented and went blind for about 30 seconds from them.

People feel pain for a reason; to know that something is wrong, and whatever it being done needs to stop. If a guy is fucking a big hole in the side of your rectal wall and you can't even feel it. . .well, the complications are obvious.

Poppers are a "gay scene" stereotype, and it goes along with the whole "sex as a drug" thing that's been mentioned before. In my mind, this is no better than straight people who go out in bars, get drunk and go home with the first person that'll dance with them. If you tell either of these people to use a condom, and to use discretion when it comes to something important, they get offended and engage in an ad hominem rant about how they're right and you're wrong.

Just for the record books: I hate most humans, and it has nothing to do with race or orientation.

I'm a bit of an anti-drug kind of guy. I need a very convincing reason to put a foreign substance in my body. I don't even like having any alcohol in me when having sex. Plus I've gotten a whiff of poppers from a distance and it was quite repulsive to me. So I really don't get the point!
