i understand it was in poor taste and the problem is that although it's certainly in bad taste, people in this thread are defending this "bad taste" as long as it doesn't apply to loved ones. taking pornographic pictures of people in public is actually being defended.... until it hits the home.

You know, some people get off on women in long dresses, others get off on long eye lashes, and lord knows feet are a very popular sources of erotic titillation. Lot of guys I know liked to tear out the women's underwear section of catalogs when they first started getting interested in sex as boys. These are all things anyone might see any day. For all I know there are guys who get off on women wearing burqas.

They may be titillating, but they're not pornographic. There's a difference and what you're doing is confusing what might be found to be erotic with what is pornographic.

i'd say taking pictures of someone's breast or ass unbeknownst to them is pretty obscene. once again, no one who's defending this is coming out and saying they'd be comfortable with somebody taking these kind of pictures of loved ones or family. sounds like someone's either misunderstanding me (which sometimes happens because of my wording) or someone is arguing for the sake of arguing

*Obscene as in a "loathsome" act by the photographer but the photo would not be pornography. Photos of nipple slips, penis slips, crotch bulges, even public nudity do not equate to pornography.

i'm not talking about any of those things, i'm talking about someone who's moderately covered up but the pervert across the street is taking enough shots of them getting in their car to post on a gallery.

The act of the photographer is rude, but the work itself is not necessarily obscene.

If someone gets off on the Statue of Liberty does that make the Statue of Liberty pornographic? How about the Venus de Milo? Her boobs are out in the open for anyone to see. I would be likely angered by somebody taking a picture of my sisters or mother knowing they would use that picture for erotic stimulation. Doesn't make it illegal though and, frankly, all three women can take care of themselves well enough. I doubt any of them would be truly bothered by it.

People are constantly photographed all the time both openly and secretly, and we don't know what the people on the other end of that camera intend. The price of going out into public is the loss of some privacies and it has been that way since forever. Just can't let it get to you.

arsonists don't get to me but i'd love them to stop setting buildings on fire. i seriously think you guys are playing a prank on me. is it going to kill you to have your genitilia photographed in public?? no. i think what's happening here is people who are more liberal are assuming that everyone is okay with being photographed. should people who don't want their groins and busts photographed stay in the house?? they can't live their life because SOMEBODY ELSE wants to take pictures of them?? what kind of freedom is that?? if freedom is obsolete, which is more important, free sexuality or freedom of not wanting to be photographed candidly and without your knowledge. i see you guys are going to run me in circles on this one so moving forward

To nearly all of the above, I would hope they had the presence of mind and self knowledge to enjoy the moment.

A sexual encounter should be a joyous experience, not an occassion for anger and outrage. A hand unexpectedly caressing a breast or crotch should bring a smile, not a frown or a fear.

I would hope my son knew sex takes many forms and though he is not obligated to perform any sexual acts he does not want to, no harm will come of his friend touches him.

If someone touched my wife's breasts, I'd be proud others found her attractive, the same with my sister or mother.

Sex isn't a threat man, it's a treat to be enjoyed and to be a truly happy and healthy person, you need to position your mind as well as your body to enjoy it when it comes, however it comes. Sex won't hurt you, only bad attitudes toward it will.
