toothpaste works...trust me. I accidentally discovered this 'miracle' cure one night as a pimply teenager. I was brushing my teeth, and had a couple of zits on my chin, and some of the toothpaste ended on them and it started to feel funny. Well I washed it off and discovered that the zits had shrunk in size a bit so I decided to put a dab of the toothpaste on it and let it sit for awhile. Well it dried up, and I went and washed it off, and there was barely a bump left in the spot where the zit was. The next morning I got up and looked in the mirror and the zit was completely gone.

does it need to be a particular toothpaste?

ya think sensodyne would have a stronger formula than the usual?

no i don't think it really matters. I think (now don't quote me on this) it the flouride that causes the pimple to dry up. oh not I said paste, not gel. I don'k know if gel has the same affect, but I know paste is what I have used in the past

Drink more water / Less or NO soda

If you use product in your hair make sure you wash it out before you go to bed. As it will get onto you pillowcase and rub all over you face.

Wash your pillowcases more often. Just like the last one... the oil from your skin or hair gets on them and then sits on your face all night.

Theses are things that worked for me. Just by drinking more water you should see results in a day or so.

Funny, I saw the thread title and my first thought was "toothpaste!" It will do wonders.

For problem acne something more regimented like Proactiv or Retin-A should do the trick, but for the occasional zit nothing beats Colgate or Crest.

go ask a doctor about diferin (sp?) gel. i used that all through high school and it is honestly the best thing ive ever found. usually cant even see the zits within 2 days of using it. my mom has been doing some work with a local dermatologist and she says that is the best thing they have found thus far. its sold at a good price too

st. ives apricot scrub is pretty golden too

it needs to be a paste. not a gel. just a cheat, generic, white tooth paste will do the trick. it really does work over night.
