advice on approaching friend

A mutual friend and i have been hanging out together a lot more lately and i realized that i am attracted to him and i think he likes me too. He says a lot of things to me that could be taken many ways, i got some pot for him one day and he told me "i dont know how to thank you, i would do anything" or i got him a beer one night and he responded "what do you want me to do for you?" When we go out i catch looking at me a lot and he always looks away when i catch him. He has a girlfriend and i've heard rumors that he is bi, but i dont know how to approach him without making things awkward between us. any advice?
