Ladies, tell me about height.

In my own experience (35 y.o. and 5'8"), I don't think there's any doubt that being taller is a bit of advantage for men when it comes to the dating scene--just as looks in general and 100 other things that you may or may not have any control over are. Yeah, to be honest, the chances of you walking into a bar and having some random woman spot you from across the room and think, "Wow, I have to meet him" are less than they would be if you were 6 feet tall. However, the chances of that happening are pretty slim even if you are 6 feet tall, so you're not missing much.

When I was in my mid 20s, I suddenly started having MUCH better luck with the ladies than I'd ever had before. It obviously wasn't because I got any taller; it was simply because I became more confident in making the first move and following through.

Over the long haul, your height is only going to be an issue if you make it one. Certain people are attracted to certain things, and I'm not going to lie and say some women don't have a preference, but just be confident and don't be a dick, and everything else will be secondary.

A lot of men are your height or shorter. Many women are more attracted to taller guys, sure. This is not the case for all of them, however. My mother's best friend used to love short guys. My best friend is marrying a guy only an inch taller. My other friend showed up on a double date with a guy an inch shorter than you. These women are beautiful, fun to be around, and financially stable. So I know this is out there.

I'm 5'4", and for me, the height thing is REALLY noticeable. Tall people are respected a fair bit more. I have a really low voice, despite my size, so people who call my house and haven't seen me INSTANTLY get quiet-voiced and say "sir" a lot whenever I speak, thinking I'm like 7 feet tall.

As to suggestions from people here about getting buff, I'm already rather muscular, and my friends even gave me a nickname for it (I'm known as the SIJ, Steroid Influenced Jew, although I've never taken any steroids; I don't even know what they look like). Up until recently, I was dismissed from women for other reasons (like being a huge nerd, and I also had ridiculously obvious braces), and now that people know me as a really funny guy and I'm getting tons of friends, I'm going to try at the dating scene, once I get back from Japan, of course.

I have good news to you . Most woman want guys taller than themselves not tall guys let's say over 6-4 . You are at average height taller than most woman so you are fine .

Most woman want taller men but not necessary tall guys . With tall guys I mean over 6-3 or over 6-4.

One of my good friends married a friend that is about 6'6''. He is fascinating to see. Maybe because i'm so attracted to that....he is thin and very masculine. He did our wedding video at the last minute and everyone is filmed from the nose up....i still giggle at that.

6-6 is very tall . Men in my family are tall but not woman . My bros are 6-3 , 6-6 and I'm 6-5 tall. My 6-6 bro is married with a 5-10 girl.

I'm more than 5'10" and I must say taller is nice but not the most important issue. Sateofmind, you are gorgeous and I wouldn't mind being seen on your arm and I certainly wouldn't mind seeing other bits of your anatomy!! ;o) Good luck!

hun its simple, if ur not confident in urself ppl know that and that is such a turn off. no one wants to be with someone who isnt confident. just go out there be you. besides ur a good looking guy dont let the height thing get ya down, there are many more prospects out there just go have some fun.
